Gameplay
The goal when playing Golf Solitaire is to remove all of the cards from play, placing them in the discard pile. Before there are any cards in the discard pile, you can place any card you like. Because of this, your first move is very important. When a card is in the discard pile, you can only place a card from the columns into the discard pile if the value of that card is one greater than, or one less than the card that is currently on the top of the discard pile. If you are not able to place a card from the columns into the discard pile, you may deal another card from the deck into the discard pile to change the top card, and hopefully help you make another move.
